Merry Christmas to all . I hope you all had a very good Christmas this year and a good year to as it is about over. I am new to this blogging and still finding out how to do stuff so please be kind when I make a mistake. Being older I guess we don't think of Christmas too much it is for the little ones. This year we had two new little boys in our family. My youngest son Robert and his wife Amy took in two foster kids and this year they had a good Christmas. The youngest one is a year he is Gage and then there is Payton he is 7 and they are real good natured kids. I have two more by Robert and his first wife they are Ryan 6 and Shelby 8 . Then I have three teenagers Kyle 18 Bryan is his dad Tamara 18 & Micah 20 Teresa is there mom. We had our Christmas at Bryan's as he has the biggest house . We always have ours after Christmas so everybody can be with other family members it has been that way for a long time. This morning I visited some of my blogs I like to see what they were doing. Were not doing much today waiting for the maintenance man to get here and fix the sink then we can go and do our running around . I haven't been feeling good these last couple of days got me a cold and that isn't fun. I need to get busy and do some more of my crafts done. I have a couple of purses to make . It's a good thing they aren't in a hurry for them . They know I will get them done . I guess I will sign off for now . God bless to all Sharon

Well here it is December all ready and it is cold today. The sun is out so I open all the blinds and let the sun in. We got a new furnace this year and that sure has made a difference in being warm. It used to be in the living room it was cold in there and we had to use a little electric heater but now we have plenty of heat. Are all you ready for Christmas ? I have one more fleece blanket kit to buy and I will be done. I still have to make the blanket and finish the other gifts but that won't take long. I am making simple candle mats and I got candles to go with them. I kept everything simple so I can get done early then if I have time I can do something else. I like to make something for the adults as a family. We don't buy for everybody just for the little ones and we have two new ones this year. Gage and Payton. They are the foster kids of Robert and Amy (youngest son and wife) Gage is one year and Payton is 7. Then there is Shelby 8 and Ryan 6 so we will be having a good Christmas. Shelby and Ryan are Roberts from his first marriage. We will go to Bryan's house cause his is the biggest place. We just have chili and deserts Mom bring her date pudding and potato salad. I hope all who read this has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. God Bless

Turkey day all gone

Hear it is Saturday and Turkey day is all over and most of the left over are gone. Roy and I had roasted chicken and all the trimmings . We did leave out all the fancy deserts . I did get a no sugar added pie and made a small applesauce cake. I didn't over eat so I feel good about that . I didn't go shopping on Black Friday but I thought about it . Jo Ann had some pretty good deals but nothing I really couldn't do without. I am hoping to hear something about my camera soon so maybe I can post some pictures. It is a good thing that I got a extra warranty . I have been working on some gifts for friends and family I have been making candle rugs or mats these are large (10-12 in.) blocks and you machine or hand quilt. I also got them a candle to put on it. We don't buy for each other each family is buying for there own family and now a days it is hard to keep up on bills. I have been bless all my children are still working but one and he is still on unemployment . I also have made two (out of the three I need) fleece blankets that you tie around the edges . These are for the little kids for christmas . The day is getting on and I have not had breakfast so I better go as I have a lot to do today. All take care and till the next time . Your friend Sharon

Hello to all you out there. My name is Sharon and I am new to this . I have been to a lot of blogs and always wanted to make one my self so here I am. I am not sure what I am doing so bare with me. I started quilting about 8 years ago and my first quilt was for my granddaughter and it was a Irish chain in pink and purple. My Aunt Elna is a quilter and she helped me show me how to rotary cut and how to match my seams. The quilt was beautiful . That was all it took and I was on a roll. I started doing a sampler quilt to help me learn more about different blocks. When I started out I had a small space in the bedroom for my sewing I think I had wall space of 6ft area I had a place for sewing machine and a table for cutting and storage . I made a lot of quilts in that little space , the bed was where I layed out the blocks to see how it would look. We have moved since then and we now have two bedrooms and one is a computer and sewing room. It is nice sometimes we will both be in here me sewing and him on the computer. I am retired and I love it . I sometime fell I still don't have a enough time to do everything I want to do I guess you do what you can. I like to quilt and sew in the mornings I fell my best them and by night my eyes are getting tired and I make more mistakes then. I think I will post this and see what happens . Take care all who read this and my God bless Sharon from Indiana
