Hello to all I am sorry I have not been here for sometime. I really have no excuse just not felt like writing. Not much going on here I am still working on the quilt for Gage and now doing a little girl quilt for my friend at church she is going to have a new granddaughter in Oct so I better get on the ball. I found the pattern in a magazine at the library and I made a copy . So far I have been lucky I have all the material here so I didn't have to buy anything. I am so blessed with so much material that was given to me. I have to go through the material and find something I like and then find a pattern that will go with the material. Sometimes I can find a pattern and then find the material to go with it but I usually end up having to buy a red or blue to finish it up. I like to do scrap quilts too you can get a nice variety of colors. A friend gave me a quilt she found at a rummage and it was all nine patch block in all different colors and it was beautiful. I put a back on it and batting and finished quilting it and gave it away. I really think the simple quilts are the best. These are the little ones that Amy babysits for everyday. I am the back up babysitter when she has a meeting or has to go someplace . Left to right keller , Tagan , Robbie, Stevie thay are all good kids and mind pretty good to. Keller and Robbie will go to kindergarden next year.

Good morning to all who read this post. To day is race day here in Indiana the big 500. I am going to have a cookout with my daughter Teresa and her family. I went yesterday and spent the day with Robert and his family. We went swimming and took all the kids,I stayed out and watched. I was really surprised at all the big women in bathing suits I was selfconscious about my size and that is why I didn't go in . Next time I will be in with the rest of them.Ha ha . It has been a while seance I posted so I will have to catch you all up. For Mothers Day I decided to make me a new purse I had gotten some nice material and I decided to use it. I made this one a little smaller I have a picture of it will show later.

This is little Gage he is alot bigger now I need to get a better picture . I have the pictures they had taken at WalMart but I don't know how to get them on here so this will do till I go and take more pictures.

Gages Quilt

This is a close up of the quilt . The one I am making will be a crib or little bigger. This is a wall hanging. You will get the Idea and see the animals in the barn door mine will be a little different there are shadows and mine will be applique on the outside. Let me know what you think.

What do you think of my new look I think I will like this better. I wasn't happy with the one I had but didn't know how to change it so I messed around and found out and this is it for awhile till I get tired of it. I have posted some pictures of my purses and this is a picture of my new quilt I am making for my little foster grandson. Here is the pictures. This is the pattern and the colors. It is a barn and there will be applique animals in the doors.

BLUE JEAN PURSES

Here it is with the pocket in front . I did take off the rick rack I didn't like it.

This is next step I sewed all the squares together and but some batting to make it stand on its own. The trouble with the batting it made it harder to sew.

MORE BLUE JEAN PURSES

This one I decided to do a little different I had seen some quilted pures that were put together with 5in blocks and I figured I could so the same with the different colors of blue jean material. I got my brain working and this is what I came up with . My friend Wilma from church picked it. This is the begining .

MY BLUE JEANS PURSES

Here I am again Roy got the pictures in the computer and I hope I don't have too much trouble, I have already lost my post once so keep your fingers crossed. I have been making purses out of blue jeans and blue jean skirts and blue jean jumpers too. I can get the clothes at our church for free we have a room with used clothes for any one from the church that might need them. I made me a purse out of blue jeans and all my friends wanted one . I know I should sell them but they are my friends and my purses are not perfect. Here is one I just finished and gave to a friend at the library. You have to remember I like making the purses and I like to see my friends carring them too. On to tne next one.

April

Here it is April and the end of April too. I have been busy at other things and not been here. I did two more purses in blue jean material I took pictures just have to down load from camera. The weather here has been kind of nice not to hot and not cold it is suppose to rain but just sprinkled. I have been working on another quilt this one will be a barn with animals in it . I think it will be real cute . I am making it for my foster grandson Gage he is about 18mos. a real cutey . Sunday is my sister Dana's birthday . Mom and I took her to lunch yesterday we went and ate Chinese all you can eat for one price. We relay enjoyed the time together. WE don't do that to often. I did a little spring cleaning and did our little dab of laundry washed a few windows and changed some curtains. I don't get in a big hurry and do a lot at one time kind of saves the energy . I would rather be sitting at my sewing machine then WORKING . So I will go and you all take care till next time and by the way HAPPY MOTHERS DAY .

I am relay sorry the pictures are a mess I am still learning how to get the pictures on here and when I have to as my DLH he gets upset. I wrote it down and I still made mistakes. The brown purse is from a pattern
I got at JoAnns and the last one is blue and I already had that pattern. I had gotten a 4x jumper for free and I cut it up to make the purse and there is more might got two more one like this one and maybe a smaller one. I like making purses. It turned cold to day so I will make chili so I better go and get it started . I hope you all enjoy my pictures more coming soon. see you on the flip side. Sharon

candle mat I made for Christmas not finished yet

This is a quilt I made for a little boy at church . It is nine patch and I had made the blocks with another quilt but didn't need them. I realy like nine patch you can do so much with them and they are fast to make.

This is another purse I did with a junper and there is enough to make another one. The brown purse is from a pattern I got at JoAnns for .99 cents.

Well how is all this wonderful day even if it is raining cats and dogs out there. I did go to WalMart for awhile but now I am home for the evening.I have been busy on the computer these last days playing games . These are real cute and a lot of fun I been playing Farmvilll and Fishvill they are fun and has kept me busy. But not to busy to work on a quilt I been doing some blocks that was given me done I just put them together. I decided to quilt it in panels and then put the panels together. It has turned out pretty good when I get it done I will post a picture. I really haven't made anything else but one purse I need to take a picture of it yet. I guess I have let the little games I play take up to much of my time oh well. I have been trying to post a picture of my last purse but I am having trouble so will have to wait till Roy gets up to help. I will post it later . Well here it is the last day of Feb. Where did the month go ? Next month will be a little longer so I guess that will make up for Feb. being so short. I have been busy as you can see from my pictures. I finally got a camera and its pretty good still trying to find all the things it can do. I will take pictures as I finish my projects. I have several quilts I want to do and more purses too. I even want to make some aprons. I thought I might try my hand at making some clothes for summer (shorts and tank tops) It sure is nice having more time to sew. I sew sometimes at night but the light has to be good and bright so as the days get longer I will be able to sew later in the day. Today the weather isn't to bad we still have snow on the ground but it isn't to cold outside. I will be going to babysit on Tuesday for Amy (daughter-n-law) she has to take Gage to doctor so I will be watching all the kids she babysits for(there is 5and the oldest is 6) they are pretty good kids and they play with each other. I like to babysit once in awhile wouldn't want to do it everyday. Not much else to say so all take care and I will talk later. Your friend Sharon

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all. I hope you all had a good New Year . We didn't do anything special went to bed and go up next morning and said Happy New Year to each other. These are the last two quilts I made . I had used the patterns before I normally try to do something different every time but I enjoyed doing these so I did them again. I have another one to start soon the baby is here so I need something fast. I really like doing nine patch it is quick and easy and I found a way of doing it so you can make two at a time . I found it at BillieLauders web site I had to buy one of her books Quick Tricks Squared there is so much information that it was worth the price of the books. I got the series Quick Tricks. I think I will do a nine patch for the next quilt. I really got to get me a new camera soon I have some neck tie purses I did and I want to show you how they turned out. I have orders for some more purses , a blue jean one and some others so maybe that will be another post. I will go for now so take care and see you all soon. Sharon
